Kimchi Pasta Gratin is a fusion dish that marries Italian comfort food with Korean zest. Al dente pasta is mixed with a creamy sauce and tangy, spicy kimchi, then topped with a layer of golden, bubbly cheese. Directions

  • Pre heat the oven to 180°C.

  • Melt 20g of butter in a suitable pan and cook the onions for about 3 minutes.

  • Add diced bacon and kimchi to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes.

  • Pour the wine in the pan and let it evaporate.

  • Pour cream and season with salt and black pepper. Keep cooking for 10 minutes at low heat.

  • Meanwhile, cook pasta according to the package instruction.

  • When the pasta is ready, drain and then mix with sauce and parmesan cheese.

  • Melt the rest of the butter in an oven dish.

  • Place the pasta into the oven dish and bake for 15-20 minutes.

  • Chopped Jongga kimchi 50 g
  • Dry white wine 5 ml
  • Heavy cream 250 ml
  • Table salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Short pasta 150 g
  • Grated parmesan cheese 30 g
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese 20 g
